This special Holiday party was held on Dec 10th at Borough Hall. It is presented each year by Communications Test Design, Inc, (CTDI), WC Parks and Recreation, and the Brotherhood of the West Chester Police Department. WCPD's Detective O'Hare, Cpl. Lee, Ptlm. Viebahn, Ptlm. Malicki and Ptlm. Flick attended the party. Cindy Hill from Records did a great job handing out the flyers for the children at the schools, daycares, churches, etc. Once again, Jerry Parsons, Chairman & CEO, and the rest of the CTDI employees did an outstanding job in making this such a special night. Keith Kurowski and WC Parks and Recreation created some wonderful crafts and events for the children. Many thanks to all who worked hard and gave of their time and talents to present a special party of West Chester children in need. |

Today’s Daily Local has their All-Area section for the fall season. Each of our 3 West Chester High schools is represented well with various players and coaches of the year. In all, exactly half of the players and coaches of the year were from one of our high schools (9 of 18). Also impressive is that one third of the players and coaches of the year were from Henderson (6 of 18). Considering that the Daily Local covers over 20 high schools, these numbers are pretty impressive and worthy of some attention. Our teams are also well represented in the various first-team, second-team, and honorable mention selections for the 9 sports, but I think the player- and coach-of-the-year numbers are most impressive. |

Mayor Comitta is honored to have West Chester Schramm Inc's Drill Operator, Jeff Roten as her guest for the Old Fashioned Christmas Parade. Jeff is the drill expert who led the efforts in rescuing all 33 trapped Chilean miners. He was recently honored by President Obama at a White House ceremony. Jeff and Schramm, Inc. are West Chester's local/global heroes! |
